Absences must be called into Mrs. Renda when your child is sick.  As per New York State law, all children must return to school with a written note stating the date/s and the reason for the absence.  If no note is received, the absence is illegal and recorded as unexcused.  If your child is out due to illness for more than 3 days, they need a doctor's note to return to school.

If you would like to pick-up your child's work when absent, please call the office no later than 9:30am to make the request.  We will record the work on Google Classroom at the end of each day. We will send the books down to the front hall of school at 2:15pm.  If you do not make a request, we will still record the work, but the books will not be sent to the front hall for pick-up. 

If your child will be out of school due to vacation, we will post all work on the Google Classroom at the end of each day.   It is your child's responsibility to take all books home.  It is expected that missed tests are prepared for and made up on the day of return.  Under no circumstances will tests be given prior to leaving for a vacation.
