Building Strong Minds and Faith-Filled Hearts
The St. Rose of Lima School Library services the lower elementary students. My goal is to foster a love of reading. We achieve this goal by exploring and reading books by many different authors and genres. The students are also taught reading skills such as understanding the main idea, understanding characters’ feelings, actions, and cause and effect, to name a few!
There is also collaboration with classroom teachers to assist in completing research projects.
“There are many little ways to enlarge your child’s world, love of books is the best of all.” Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
* Students may take out library books for two weeks. Books students wish to return should be brought to school on the day they have library.
