I was born and raised in New York City, and I am a proud product of Catholic School Education, attending St. Joseph’s Parochial School in Astoria and St. Francis Preparatory High School in Fresh Meadows. After college, I began working as a 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies and Language Arts teacher at Our Lady Help of Christians School in Brooklyn. After four years at the school, I moved on to Holy Family School/Academy in Fresh Meadows, where I taught for eleven years. Over the course of a fifteen year teaching career, I taught students from 4th Grade up to 8th Grade, and four different academic subjects, with the majority of my career on the middle school level.
From September of 2016 through July of 2019, I was the assistant principal and athletic director at St. Agnes Cathedral School in Rockville Centre. In my three years at St. Agnes, I worked with teachers to improve our curriculum to include more STEM and hands-on activities, revamped our state testing preparation methods, helped strengthen the school’s security protocols, and expanded our sports program and student activity options.
I hold a BA and MA in History from Queens College, and an Advanced Certificate in School Building Leadership from St. John’s University. I am married, and I have two sons, ages seven and five, along with a dog who drives us crazy.
I am incredibly excited to become principal of St. Rose of Lima School and to build upon the amazing legacy established by my predecessor. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone, as we work together to ensure that St. Rose remains one of the best elementary schools on Long Island!
Sincerely,
